Title: Vice President of Development Advisory Services
Studio: Nashville, TN
Personal Blurb: I’m a Design, Architecture, sports and coffee junkie, and not necessarily in that order. Paige and I have been married for 22 years and our kids have tails, floppy ears and fur. Most would say they look just like me and not their mother. I’ve spent most of my life in the Chicago Area, and I’m proud of that amazing city despite its flaws. We’ve been loving life in Music City, and are constantly on the lookout for the next great restaurant…and Jack White. I’d love to meet that dude…
Choose a Movie Title for Your Life: The story of my life is still being written. I know what’s behind me, but don’t know everything in front of me. Maybe I’d title it, “Etc…” I have an intentional attitude of focusing forward and working to keep things moving towards the next step or goal whether in life or a Project. One could say I live in the “Etc…” with a constant eye focused on what’s next.
Can You Play a Musical Instrument: Well, my mom tried to teach me to play the piano when I was a kid, but I figured out how to play songs by ear so I could get back outside as quickly as possible. I never learned to read music as a result. There’s a guitar at home I’m slowly figuring out how to make sound with; however, I’m not sure it’s a joyful sound…yet.
3 Things on Your Bucket List: Only three? I actually tend to think of a Bucket List more along the lines of setting Goals for Living. Fair enough? With that understanding, I’d say the top three are: 1. Spend more time with Family. 2. Create stuff: draw, design, paint, write, etc… 3. Travel more both within the States and Overseas.
Who In The Bible Do You Identify With the Most: This is impossible to answer. It depends on when you ask me. There are times I identify with Noah when the task in front of me is bigger than I can comprehend and leaves me asking, “Why me?” Other times I identify with David in some of his Psalms where he’s almost arguing with God, while at the same time keeping Him in control. Then there’s Jonah. Who hasn’t gone the other direction only to have some sense shaken back into them? That’s the amazing thing about The Bible. One can find themselves in every story and person.
What Does Being A Visioneer Mean to You: A paycheck…just kidding. Previous positions I’ve held within organizations were just a paycheck. This is so much more. This is a calling and a blessing. It’s a calling to utilize the skill set I’ve been blessed with to impact Community and Kingdom. It’s a blessing to journey alongside fellow Visioneers, Visioneering Partners, and our Clients – all of which become friends and family.
