Director of Strategic Design

Title: Strategic Design Director
Reports to: Vice President of Strategic Design

Location: Grapevine, TX


Job Summary:

As the Director of Strategic Design, this person will represent Visioneering Studios to prospective clients – sharing in-depth knowledge of Visioneering’s service offerings while providing insight and support towards our client's needs. This role will embody Visioneering Studios' value of “Guided Concierge Service” as they walk leads through the process of launching their vision into reality. The Strategic Design Director will work closely with the Strategic Design team to ensure all leads move smoothly through the sales pipeline. They will help in evaluating all incoming leads and potential deals to establish a plan of action for each client. The Strategic Design Director will also monitor the progress of client’s projects to move deals through to the next stage of development – maintaining client relationships through each phase and beyond to build raging fans of Visioneering Studios. This role will be very forward-facing, and often acting as a public representative of Visioneering Studios at conferences, webinars, client meetings, and site walks.


  • Acquires new customers from an assigned set of prospects taking them from ‘contact to contract’.

  • Leads all aspects of the sales process, while calling upon other firm’s sales resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery, and implementation, as needed or as directed by management.

  • Sells the complete offering of company services to assigned opportunities.

  • Manages new customers’ implementation by directing company implementation resources and by managing customers’ expectations and satisfaction with the implementation process.

  • Ensures a seamless transition of customer responsibility to the appropriate Business Unit Leader (BUL) following a successful implementation.

  • Assist other sales and services resources when called upon by the VP of Strategic Design.

  • Achieves new account acquisition targets

  • Monitors and updates the status of all assigned leads in the firm’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) database.

  • Enlists the support of implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.

  • Transitions new accounts to the appropriate Business Unit Leader or Relationship Manager.



  • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum six years of outside sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment.

  • Prior track record of achievement in the Business Development Executive position or equivalent.

  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong in-person, phone, and written customer communication skills.

  • Ability to make formal and informal presentations to staff and clients.

  • Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and be self-motivated.

  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals.


Environmental Job Requirements:

  • This position may require frequent travel.

  • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and passport.

The position also requires the employee to use near vision in reading plans, correspondence, and data using a computer. Hearing is required when communicating by phone and/or in person. The need to lift, drag, and push files, paper, and documents weighing up to 50 pounds is also required. Travel will be required.
