Studio: Irvine, CA
Personal Blurb: I am originally from Bogata, Colombia. Once I completed my university degree in Architecture I opened my own office providing services for local architectural firms. In order to improve my technical skills and learn English, I decided to move to the United States when I was 24 year old with the goal of returning to my home and business in Colombia. But as providence would have it, I met the love of my life, James, married him and stayed here in the states. I have always been an active person, but got serious about the sport of running when I ran my first marathon in 2004, eventually qualifying twice to run the Boston Marathon in 2011.
Choose a Movie Title for Your Life: My life can best be expressed by the Disney movie, “Up“, because I was fortunate to find the love of my life, together we faced many challenges, but then I had to say good bye way to him way too soon. Today I am making a new life on my own.
Can You Play a Musical Instrument: I have played the flute in the past, but I would need a lot of practice to play anything today.
3 Things on Your Bucket List: 1 – Travel to Africa on a mission trip, 2 – Travel back to Italy and see more of that beautiful country, learn more about their history and enjoy the culture & 3 – I would love to become a Master Gardener.
Who In The Bible Do You Identify With the Most: I admire and identify with Nehemiah because he answered God’s calling on his life and took on the difficult project of rebuilding Jerusalem and the temple. I am always wanting to be sensitive to God’s calling on my life which is one of the reasons I am so happy to be working for Visioneering.
What Does Being A Visioneer Mean to You: Working for Visioneering gives me the opportunity to work with a wonderful team of professionals and create beautiful buildings that are not just physical structures for worship and service but they are also structures that give hope to many believers for the future. The work we do is meaningful, and we really create “Destinations that lift the spirit now and forever.”
