Honoring a Legacy of Faith and Broadcast Ministry
To commemorate 50 years of The Hour of Power—one of the longest-running Christian television programs in the United States—Shepherd’s Grove Church partnered with Visioneering Studios to design and construct the East Gate Legacy Walk. This meaningful addition celebrates the global ministry’s past while creating a lasting place of reflection and inspiration.

01
The Opportunity
Before this project, the east parking lot offered no clear or defined entry point into the heart of the campus. At the same time, the church was looking for a meaningful way to celebrate five decades of the Hour of Power and its global impact. The desire was to create a space that would both guide visitors and honor the ministry’s legacy.

02
The Vision
The vision was to create a physical portal into the campus that would also serve as a visual and spiritual marker of the Hour of Power’s 50-year journey. This would include elements that reflect on the ministry’s milestones, inspire visitors, and point toward the future. The new space needed to feel reverent, open, and permanent—blending architecture, storytelling, and landscape into one cohesive experience.

The Execution
Visioneering Studios designed and built the East Gate Legacy Walk—an open-to-the-sky trellis pathway that now connects the east parking area to the main campus. The structure features 12 pillars, each highlighting a significant milestone from the Hour of Power’s 50-year history. The walkway incorporates a steel canopy, custom-etched pavers, and plaques, turning a once undefined entrance into a powerful tribute. More than a path, the East Gate invites guests into the story of God’s faithfulness, welcoming them with a message of hope, vision, and enduring impact.
