A Historic Campus Reimagined for the Next Generation
Originally established in 1975 at the historic Monte Vista Resort in Twin Peaks, Calvary Chapel Bible School relocated to Murrieta in 1996 before returning to its mountain roots in 2022. Visioneering Studios was brought in to renovate and expand the original three-story conference center—transforming it into a modern, functional Bible College that honors its legacy while preparing students for the future.

The Opportunity
The original building, while rich in history and character, no longer met the needs of a modern learning environment. Spaces were outdated, lacked accessibility, and needed to be reimagined to support both academic and spiritual growth. The college needed updates that would enhance daily life for students and staff.

The Vision
The goal was to create a Bible College campus that served the needs of today’s students while remaining true to its mountain retreat setting. Key priorities included improving accessibility, updating key gathering spaces, and creating a cohesive, inspiring environment for worship, learning, and community.

The Execution
Visioneering Studios renovated the original 6,337-square-foot, three-story building and added 1,000 square feet of new space to support its renewed purpose. The first floor received updated flooring, finishes, lighting, and furnishings in the dining room and large meeting rooms. The second floor saw a full renovation of men’s and women’s restrooms, refreshed classrooms, and upgrades to the lobby and library areas. On the third floor, a new hangout space and soundproof classrooms were created to support both study and connection. A new elevator was added to provide ADA access throughout the building, ensuring the space was welcoming and inclusive to all. The result is a modern learning environment set in the peaceful beauty of the San Bernardino Mountains—designed to help every student grow in their understanding of the heart and love of God.
